The FlordaKing Peach， also known by its scientific name Prunus persica 'FlordaKing'， is a southern peach tree that was developed by the University of Florida to consistently produce large amounts of fresh peaches in warmer climates. This peach tree requires 500 chill hours and produces bushels of incredibly sweet， semi-clingstone fruit. The care for this peach is really simple. The Flordaking love being in full sun， and moist well-draining soil. To consistently get fruit， make sure it is well-watered and the right fertilizer to consistently deliver nutrients to the tree. This peach variety is self-pollinating but would benefit from a cross-pollinating variety like the FlordaCrest， another variety developed by the University of Florida.
