Black Hills Spruce is an evergreen tree has green to blue-green needles and a very dense habit， making it an ideal windbreak， privacy screen or specimen tree. It tolerates most urban and rural planting sites as well as wind， heat， cold， drought and crowding. Growing 30 ft. to 50 ft. tall with a 10 ft. to 20 ft. spread， it has a pyramidal habit and a slow growth rate. Black Hills Spruce trees commonly live 250-years to 300-years. Grows best when planted in moist， well-drained soil in full sun. Each offer includes one plant grown in a 2.50 qt pot. Space plants approximately 15 to 20 feet apart for best results. Grows best in well-drained soil， does not do well in heavy clay soil with excessive moisture， prefers loamy soil. Reaches standard mature height of 20 to 40 feet tall. Deer tend to avoid this plant.
