Since the V-shape straddles your hitch receiver channel instead of inserting into it， you can still connect your trailer or whatever to the receiver hitch.

Your SportsRack V-Rack comes complete with a locking cable to secure your bikes and a storage bag to protect your bike rack when not in use.

Important: Installation requires 1-1/2 inches of clean space between hitch and the ball platform. If you don't have a ball mount， a receiver mount is available to install the rack on a 2-inch hitch. To use the V-Rack with a 1-1/4-inch hitch receiver， a converter/riser mount also is available.
