The Norpro NP-84 is a jumbo stainless steel compost keeper， so you can conveniently store peelings， eggshells， coffee grounds， table scraps， clippings， and other fruit and vegetable scraps and later transfer them to your garden compost pile.

Attractive and Sturdy Construction

The Keeper features an attractive stainless steel finish and a sturdy stainless steel handle. You can easily wash the compost keeper with warm soapy water， rinse and dry. It also includes an odor preventing charcoal filter in the lid.

Usage of the Filter

The filters must be changed approximately every 6 months， depending on use. The effectiveness of the filter can be affected by heat and humidity depending on the area. Let food cool down before putting it into the composter and do not put a hot or warm product into the composter as the moisture from the warm product can decrease the time for changing the filter. Each filter is made of PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate)， 5 percent Charcoal， and 95 percent PET Acrylate. The charcoal in the filter absorbs the odors and once it has fully absorbed to its maximum， discard the filter.
