How It Works

The Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker comes in a few different sizes, with this 14" model the smallest one. But with two grates stacked on top of each other, your grilling space is actually doubled to 28". Cook multiple meats at once for weekly meal prep, or cook for large gatherings and invite friends over (pro tip: place leaner proteins on the bottom grate, and fattier ones above. That way, lean foods will baste in falling fats from above). Whatever you're cooking, make sure you have all the gear you need at the ready, from grilling utensils like tongs to extra wood chunks and charcoal. Water smokers are popular in part because of their ease of use. You may need a chimney starter to get your charcoal going, but all you'll really need to do is come back to add extra charcoal, wood chunks, and water every hour or so. Check the Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker's built-in thermometer often to keep an eye on your food's temperature, and adjust the dampers to increase airflow (and heat) if necessary. Once dinner's finished, don't forget about cleanup. Weber's One-Touch ash removing cleanup system makes cleanup a breeze; just push the level to remove any ash from the bowl. And don't forget to use a grill brush on both the upper and lower grill grates to keep your cooker working like new.
